Captain’s Comment
‘If you prefer golf on a quiet and scenic course with outstanding vistas, then Bowral Golf Club should be your course. The men’s club is very active, with plenty of friendly social golf played throughout the week and challenging competitions on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Having an extremely friendly membership is a big plus and there are many organised social events to satisfy a wide variety of interests.
Through golf it is very easy to meet plenty of different members quickly. For the convenience of members the men’s competitions on Wednesdays and Saturdays are played both morning and afternoon. In addition to the usual monthly medals we have a busy calendar of stablefords, trophies and championships. It is a very easy matter to book to play our course, which is a wonderful bonus.
If you are considering moving to the Southern Highlands and looking for a golf club, or if you are simply seeking a change, then we are the golf club for you.’

Ladies Comment
‘The lady members have allocated times for competitions on Tuesdays and Thursdays with play commencing early morning in summer and later in winter with social golf played throughout the week. Presentation of trophies at the end of competition play ensures the lady members have some social time together. Our program is a varied one ranging from stroke rounds for club medals and trophies, to stableford, par rounds and wherever possible team events.
New players are particularly encouraged to join the Tuesday fields where the competition is more relaxed. The golf clinics for new players held on Fridays are very popular and the committee is always welcoming new members into our rapidly growing membership. Our aim as a committee is to provide a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere to our members and visitors.
The ladies very much enjoy playing mixed golf, and there are plenty of opportunities for them to do this, as mixed golf is now featured more and more.
We feel very privileged to belong to Bowral Golf Club, to play its beautiful and well managed course, to enjoy a drink, food and conversation in the clubhouse and to be able to take part in the busy social life in the club.’
