Medal of Medal Winner for 2025

MEDAL OF MEDALS

Congratulations to everyone who played in the Medal of Medal rounds on the 6th and 8th of November.

I am so pleased to announce that the winner is a fairly new member who has worked very hard to bring their Handicap down over the past 12 months.

Jenn Worner has taken out the Medal of Medals by countback in a very close 3 way tie with Michelle Alcock and Kate Flight.

Congratulations Jenn a great win!

CLOSING DAY 2025

The Golf Event for the day will be a 3 -4 person Ambrose. Now is the time to get your teams sorted and decide if you are dressing up in your glittering Christmas gear!

The Booking Sheet is currently locked but once we have it set up probably we will open it up.

WOMEN’S ANNUAL MEETING

I hope everyone has received the email from Meeghan Bourne with all relevant attachments.

The meeting will be held at the Club in the Members Room at 5:30 pm on the 11th December. All positions on the Women’s Committee are open for nominations. Extra Nomination forms have been put in the Women’s Locker room.

The Annual Meeting will be followed by a Dinner in The Hastings Restaurant. The Hastings will set up a link on their web site where you can book and pay. As soon as this is done you will be notified.

Other News

Unfortunately The Women’s Captain from Highlands Golf Club has sent out a notification that the Highlands Golf Club will no longer participate in the local competitions with Moss Vale and Bowral Golf Club. This difficult decision was made due to the low numbers of women members at Highlands. Currently the Highlands Golf Club only has 1 division for all women players.

The Champion of Champions was scheduled to be played at Highlands this year and has now been cancelled. We are hoping it will be able to be run early next year between Bowral and Moss Vale at Moss Vale.

PENNANTS 2026

In 2026 the CSGA will be running a new Pennants Competition, the Bronze Cup, which will have a handicap range of 16 -26 and is going to be played on a Monday.

We are hoping to be able to field a team in both the Bronze Shield ( handicap range is 18 - 36) and the Bronze Cup. The final Pennants draw is out and the sign up sheets will be put up in the Women’s Locker room this weekend. Please put your name on the list if you are interested in playing in one or both of these competitions.

I look forward to playing more golf while the weather is so mild and our course is in such great condition!

I hope to see you on the course soon.

Cheers, Jan
