Wollongong Golf Club - beautiful coastal views.

GOLF RESULTS

Tuesday 26th - 15 of us headed down to Wollongong for a round of golf. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. As you can see from the picture above we had beautiful blue skies and some amazing scenery. The course was dry which meant our balls got a lot of run. Some maintenance work was being carried out on some of the fairways which resulted in temporary Tee boxes being setup further down the fairways. Indeed some Par 5’s were under 200 metres. We had Eagles and Birdies on several of these holes.

Ellen did a great job not just of booking the golf but also of running our own little comp for the day. The big winner was Barb Mead who won the Individual Stableford with a huge score of 43. Wendy Burke came in 2nd on CB with a great score of 39. The 4BBB was won by Barb and her partner Kate Wegmuller with a score of 51. Sharon Rowe and I came in 2nd.

We all had a great day and enjoyed playing the Wollongong Course. Once again a big THANK YOU to Ellen Neale for all her work in organising this day.

Tuesday 26th - back at Bowral. This was our first run of a combined 18 Hole and 9 Hole Comp. All the feedback was positive and it would seem no major problems occurred.

WHATS COMING UP IN OUR GOLFING WORLD

Thursday 4th - Another Medal Round and also the McLeish Cup Round 1. This is a stroke Round.

9th April - The course is closed for Greens Renovations. We have arranged for a comp at Mt Broughton Golf Club. This will be played on the Gold Course which I am told is a much easier course than the red. Please put your name down on the Signup sheet in the locker room before Sunday 7th. This is a good opportunity to play at a different course close to home. Cost is $20 per person for the Golf and $40 for cart hire ($20 per person if you share with a friend). Lunch after golf at the Sutton Forest Inn.

11th April - Stableford with a difference - 3 sticks and no putter. The greens will still be very sandy after the renovations and putting on greens like this is not fun so we will by pass that part of the game.

If its on the Sandy Green, just pick it up!

April 25th - Anzac Day. The club is running a Mixed 4 Person Ambrose Comp with a 12:30 Shotgun start. Please put your name down on the Booking Sheet online.
